SP were founded in 1998 to provide specialist security services to the clients of ITP one of the UK's top value added resellers. Such was the take-up of these services that SP quickly grew to become one of the most respected names in the market place.

Demand for SP services outstripped the ability to supply, catalysing the directors of the company to invest heavily in technical resources to continue to deliver the highest levels of service to their clients. This investment was maintained, and between 1999 and 2002 SP's success became a major factor in helping the ITP group achieve 3 Fast Track 100 top 50 finishes.

In 2002 Darron Anley the founding Director of ITP together with SP founder Dan Harris completed the sale of ITP to focus on the rapidly developing security and Citrix markets and the operation of SP.

Since separating from ITP, SP has expanded its position, doubling in size in both team and turnover. Expansion into the Scottish and Northern Markets has seen SP move closer to its client's business operations so that they can be on hand to proffer advice on best practices whenever their clients need them.

2003 saw SP strengthen their strategic position with the launch of sparc the SP active response centre that is set to change the way security systems are managed.

Privately funded from the outset the company has bucked the recent downturn in market trends to top its industry sector for growth.
