It is installed as part of Sophos Anti-Virus, has minimal performance overhead and provides comprehensive reporting of any virus incident.

Wide ranges of industry standard firewalls, gateways and similar applications have been designed to integrate with Sophos Anti-Virus. SAV Interface provides these third-party solutions with a high-performance channel into the Sophos virus detection and disinfection engine.

Customers who use this type of SAV Interface compliant product will receive technical support from Sophos, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

A number of OEMs have used SAV Interface to build Sophos's anti-virus solution into their product lines. Customers using this type of product will be updated and supported by the OEM.
